During a public appearance to a cathedral in Staffordshire on Monday, the King was heckled by a individual who questioned him about Prince Andrew's relationship with disgraced financier Epstein.

The protester inquired how long the monarch had been aware about his sibling's association with Jeffrey Epstein, and also raised doubts about whether he had asked the police to "cover up" for Andrew.

Despite the heckling, there were crowds of well-wishers and applause for the monarch, who was in the region for an engagement.

The Duke of York's connections with Epstein have been under close examination in recent weeks. The royal, who relinquished his titles earlier this month, has strongly denied any misconduct.

"For how long have you known about Prince Andrew and Jeffrey Epstein? Did you request the authorities to cover up for Andrew?"

The King remained silent but carried on meeting fans, some of whom chanted "God Save The King". One supporter can be heard asking him for a embrace.

A female bystander outside the cathedral was also observed telling the protester to "go away" and to "be quiet".

Scandal Revived by Memoir

The controversy over Prince Andrew's connections to Epstein has been revived by sexual abuse allegations detailed in Ms. Giuffre's recently released book.

In the publication, Ms Giuffre says she had sex with the prince on three separate occasions, including one instance with Jeffrey Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Prince Andrew, who reached a out-of-court agreement with the plaintiff in recent years, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In 2019, he told BBC Newsnight he did not recall meeting her "ever", and that they "did not have any sort of intimate relations."

Fresh Questions Over Finances and Living Arrangements

But in recent times, fresh questions have been asked about how he is able to finance his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Windsor mansion has intensified the scrutiny over his housing situation - even though he made large payments up front, including for renovations.

The Liberal Democrats said he should be called in front of MPs to give testimony about his lease of his residence.

But last week, the government refused to give MPs time to debate the prince's titles or his residence, despite growing pressure for investigation.

Buckingham Palace has not issued a statement on whether Prince Andrew might relocate of his current residence - or where he might reside.
